Our Vision, Heritage & Values

Siena’s Vision

Siena Catholic College will educate the whole person in a Christ-centred learning community inspired by Saint Catherine of Siena and Saint Bernardine of Siena. We will nurture every student to grow in faith, learn with integrity and serve with joy—forming young people who are confident, compassionate and equipped to make a meaningful difference in the world.

Siena’s Heritage

Siena Catholic College builds on a rich and enduring tradition of Catholic education in Pymble and West Pymble.

The Catholic school in Pymble, originally known as Mount St Bernard and later renamed Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, has been educating children for more than a century. Established by lay teachers and later led by the Sisters of Mercy, the school has long been grounded in a commitment to faith, learning and care. In the 1980s, it became part of the Diocese of Broken Bay and continued to grow, expanding its learning facilities and educational offerings. Similarly, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Catholic Primary School in West Pymble, founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1962, has a proud history of nurturing students within the Mercy tradition. Also joining the Diocese of Broken Bay in the 1980s, the school has continued to foster excellence in education and a strong sense of community. Together, these communities form the foundation of Siena Catholic College, honoring the past while shaping a vibrant and hope-filled future.
