About Siena
Wellbeing for Learning
Students engage more confidently in their learning and thrive when they experience a strong sense of wellbeing. Our student wellbeing framework supports a learning environment where every student is known, valued and cared for. We recognise that every student benefits from a strong foundation of safety, connection and belonging, and we will promote early intervention and a coordinated response to the needs of every student.
Student transition will be supported at every stage, including:
- A specially designed Kindergarten transition programme
- Activities that connect the two school campuses so that students develop a strong sense of belonging to the whole College and transition with confidence from the Junior to the Senior Campus
- Year 5 transition programme to support transition from the Junior Campus to the Secondary Campus
- Year 7 transition programme to support transition as more students join the College for Year 7-12
- Pastoral care programmes that include camps and pastoral days that are aligned with the Catholic Schools Student Wellbeing Framework which is informed by the Australian Student Wellbeing Framework
