Junior Campus
Canteen
Our school canteen is open twice weekly – Mondays and Thursdays.
Volunteers Needed
The school canteen is managed by our supervisor, Mrs Angela Basilisco with the help of many volunteers.
We are always in need of additional help. If you can help, even once a year, please contact Angela – angela.basilisco@dbb.catholic.edu.au.
Counter Service – Morning Tea and Lunchtime
- Children are welcome to visit the canteen at morning tea and lunchtime. Frozen treats are sold at lunchtime only.
- Refer to the Canteen Menu – “Morning Tea & Lunch” sections for what’s on offer.
- Sandwiches, salad and hot food are only available by lunch order system and not at the counter.
Lunch Orders
- On the relevant morning (Monday or Thursday) send the order in your child’s satchel for collection by the teacher.
- Reusable Lunch bags are available for sale through the Qkr! app.
- On a reusable lunch bag or plain paper bag, clearly state your child’s name, class, full order, cost of each item and total cost. This helps our volunteer ensure your child receives the lunch they ordered.
- Orders are delivered to the classroom at lunchtime (12.40pm) and distributed by the teacher.
- Don’t seal the lunch bag with tape.
- Paper lunch bags cost 20c if not included with the lunch order.
Lunch Meal Deal Days
On particular days throughout the year, such as Feast Days and sports carnivals, the canteen offers a ‘meal deal’. Our meal deals may consist of a BBQ sausage sizzle, cheese toasties, fried rice or cheesy pasta. This often comes with a choice of drink, a quelch stick and a fruit platter. Details of the Meal Deals are available at the time on ordering, inclusions vary.
